Dear colleague,
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) harmonizes data protection regulations throughout the European Union (EU) and brings a new set of "digital rights" for EU citizens in light of the growing economic value of personal data in the digital economy. It is effective in all EU member states as of May 25, 2018. DHL Group and its legal entities have mandated IT Services (ITS) as the primary IT service provider for DHL Group. IT Services provides the infrastructure that allows employees to collaborate using a range of information technologies. With GDPR, the definition of personal data has been widened. With this document we are informing you about what personal data ITS is processing to deliver these services to you and which suppliers are involved in the delivery of the services. DHL Group also receives IT infrastructure services directly from suppliers, e.g. telecom-related services. The services below are examples where ITS or a telecoms provider are processing personal data in order to efficiently deliver the service and to provide a user experience which helps end users to better collaborate together.
The services above require some or all of the following personal data:
Some of the data listed above may also be used by the following major suppliers and partners, which are either directly providing in-scope services or are supporting their delivery:
For more information on GDPR, please visit the Smart Connect sites of DHL's Global Data Protection Office or contact the Data Protection Officer responsible for your legal entity.
The security of your personal data and the Group’s compliance with all EU data protection laws are principles that IT Services hold at the utmost importance.
